"Чудно тут у вас", комментирует особа. "Как на съемках фильмов про Годзиллу". Инженер же сосредоточенно провожает взглядом игрушечную баржу. Фильмы про Годзиллу снимали именно так, бесхитростно: человек надевал наряд гигантской ящерицы и топтал игрушечные небоскребы. Когда-то это был основной киноэкспорт Японии. Теперь японцы смело вывозят за рубеж то, о чем раньше говорили лишь вполголоса. "Тише!" Рёске Хасигути — монотонное изучение условий жизни японских геев. По стилистике оно куда ближе к "кухонным драмам" Майка Ли, нежели к современным голливудским романтическим комедиям, где у каждой девушки сосед — практикующий гей. Хотя сюжет все же ближе ко второму варианту: девушка Асако по глазам распознала в гее Кацухиро потенциального отца своего ребенка. Но Кацухиро отлично знает, что с его ориентацией не видать ему семейных уз — он только начал сожительствовать с работником зоомагазина Наоей. Этот треугольник разительно отличается от нашей робкой импровизации на ту же тему "Я люблю тебя" Столповской/Троицкого. В японском кино изначально, до различных перипетий сюжета, может существовать себе пара геев. У нас она пока только образовывается, осторожно держась поодаль друг от друга, присматриваясь. Между тем, несмотря на наличие различных Юкио Мисим и самурайского гей-эпоса "Табу" [2001] Нагисы Осимы, гей-традиция в Японии никогда не могла пробиться сквозь толщи непрошибаемого культа семьи. Расшатывать такую махину под силу только молодым — таким, как тридцатилетний режиссер Хасигути, сам гей по призванию. И затянутость фильма обуславливается именно сложностью поставленной задачи. Это вам не игрушечные небоскребы топтать.
